It’s been a while since the last installment of After Hours. JustSomeRandomGuy posted the latest installment, and here it is for your laughing pleasure. “The Beginning of the End of the End of the Beginning” Part 1. Who is Lance M. Donovan? What is Plan B? Stay tuned to the Marvel/DC parody series to find out… Fun stuff, but maybe not as funny as some of the previous videos, although the Stan Lee character is pretty believable.
Just a hint – someone escapes the carnage.
Behold! The most awesome comic is soon to be a direct-to-DVD animated feature! The gods of YouTube have posted the trailer, and here it be. Rock On !!!!! I can not wait until 2008. Now I only hope they release a high definition version of this thing.
Laugh out loud, roll on the floor funny. This is why Kevin Smith rocks – even if his comics are late. By the way – foul language ahead.
Only took a couple of days before the entire Image Founders Panel from the San Diego Comic-Con was posted on YouTube for all to see. Here’s Part One. Check the YouTube page for the other six parts.
We weren’t able to attend the San Diego Comic-Con this year, but I think we did a pretty good job at bringing you some of the highlights. And when we can’t get you the exclusives, we’ll rely on others to bring the goods to you. Pulp Secret was a the Marvel booth for the big unveiling of the Iron Man Mark I armor seen in the movie. Yeah, I love this stuff. I hear the creator landed a sweet deal with Marvel to continue to produce these or something similar. Trying to get an interview with him. Gotta love the Fletch reference in there…
Comflix Studios has launched Comflix.net with the first installments of Dracula vs. King Arthur and The Last Sin of Mark Grimm. Comflix.net will now feature weekly premieres of new episodes from its library of comic book titles. This site has been in place for about a month now, following a soft release that allowed viewers to check out the content, beating other companies who have recently announced web comic initiatives. Unlike other companies who simply want you to read the comic online, Comflix actually brings the pages to life with editing, some motion graphics work, and nice voice over work.…
Huh…Who would have guessed a kid, a costume, some cheap green screen work, and words put to one of the best theme songs would turn out like this.
G4 could be A LOT better. This clip of Olivia Munn as Wonder Woman is on the right track – sorta.
No, I’m not mugging the hunchback, but I did have an incredibly fun meeting this afternoon with the producer of Sanctuary, a new web series set to debut next month. If you like Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, then there is a very good chance you’re going to like this new series staring Amanda Tapping from Stargate – SG1. I’ll have more on this series over the next couple of weeks as they prepare for the big launch/debut. Until then, check out this cool bit of swag they gave me. a
One of my many other jobs has me covering the animation and motion graphics industry. Today during my search through the Interwebs I found this really cool short film by Isaak Fernandez Rodriguez. Batman: Chapter 1 – Help Me is a very stylized 3D animation that captures the tone of Batman, while at the same time mugging the intensity of Batman’s actions. Not much else is known on this piece at the moment, but it looks to be a school project. Follow the link for the complete short! via Pepeland (link)
