Okay, so it is more like the Kara clone Galatea from the Justice League Unlimited, but it is probably the closest thing we’re going to get to a JLU figure based on the busty heroine. There are a lot more photos of the new JLU figures (including Captain Atom and a well done Giganta) over at Action Figure Insider. All of the photos were taken by con attendees, which reminds me; Did anyone go to the show and want to share their photos? Contact Stephen Schleicher and we’ll get them up for all to see. via Action Figure Insider

EW.com has the first images of the Watchmen action figures based on the upcoming Zack Snyder movie from Warner Bros. The figures look spectacular, I just hope they are truly action figures instead of nicely molded pieces of plastic that end up as inexpensive maquettes for those who can’t afford the real deal. If you happen to be in New York and are attending the New York Comic Con, DC Direct will unveil the first four prototypes on Friday, April 18. BTW: Both figures will arrive in stores in January 2009 with a price tag of $14.99. via EW.com

Chris Doyle from Reasonably Clever, and long time Major Spoilers reader, sent me a quick message to let us know he is running another unofficial LEGO contest on his site. This time around he’s challenging builders to design a special armor set for Iron Man. Since this is not a contest endorsed by LEGO or Marvel, you aren’t going to see any official ties to either company, but you can win some cool prizes. So if you are a LEGO-Maniac and have some Iron Man love, head over to the site for the complete rules, prizes, and all that other…

Fans of dolls action figures probably shed a little tear of joy when EMCE Toys brought back the Star Trek and Planet of the Apes figures based on the original MEGO molds. The company has decided to go a step further by getting some of the original MEGO gang back together to develop an original line of figures based on The Night of the Living Dead. In time for the film’s 40th anniversary, figures based on the Graveyard Zombie, hero Ben, damsel-in-distress Barbra and iconic undead child Karen Cooper will be released throughout 2008. Graveyard Zombie and Ben will be…

NECA has released a couple of image of Kurt Russell’s Stuntman Mike action figure based on the character from the Grindhouse film. A long-awaited fan favorite, Kurt Russell’s scarred serial killer makes his debut this summer. We’ll be debuting accessories and packaging later this spring. I’d still rather have Kurt Russell from Big Trouble in Little China. via NECA Online
