Last week, there was a lot of speculation over an image of Pixar creators at work.  Behind the sculptor is a very pronounced image of a dinosaur and a boy, which many saw as a clue to the next 3D movie project.  The Pixar blog site offered up a variety of clues, and ultimately came to this conclusion: These facts point to this having been a research trip for an unannounced upcoming film, almost certainly being directed by (Greg) Dykstra. After discovering that a child’s laughter is much more powerful than a scream at the end of the Disney/Pixar 2001 film, Monsters Inc. has changed dramatically under the leadership of its new CEO, James P. Sullivan (also known as Sulley). The factories slogan has changed from “We Scare Because We Care” to “Going the Extra Mile to Make Them Smile”.  “Scarers” are now “Amusers” and Sulley’s former partner, Mike Wazowski is at the top of the game.

How trippy would this have been had PIXAR gone ahead and followed this story through? The film was to see an egg laid by Kevin being a fountain of youth. “Muntz wanted the egg because it was this youth potion that made you grow young,” says Docter. Carl was supposed to be protecting the egg throughout the movie.
