An elemental force of fire and life, the Phoenix found a suitable host template in Jean Grey, the X-Man known as Marvel Girl. When Grey seemingly sacrificed herself to save her teammates the alien entity took her place and started a whole new heroic chapter in the saga of the Phoenix. Now for the first time Phoenix is presented in the Japanese Bishoujo (pretty girl) style based on original character art by illustrator Shunya Yamashita. Rulk is getting the Kotobukiya statue treatment in July 2010 with a 13-inch, 1/6th scale beatuty that shows off Ed McGuinness’ art style in three dimensions. Once a British woman with minor mutant powers, Elizabeth “Betsy†Braddock’s mind was transferred into the body of a ninja giving her additional martial arts prowess.
