While running between panels at the San Diego Comic Con, I had a chance to take a number of pictures from the show floor. Check out the first batch, after the jump!
Cosplay is a major part of San Diego Comic Con and all other conventions throughout the year and deserves to be highlighted as those who participate show an amazing skill set and talent when they put on their creations. Jessica LG has created a stunning Wonder Woman WWII design that you have to check out!
San Diego Comic Con is a place that you can see some of the greatest cosplay around, but you don’t have to be a professional to don the garb of your favorite pop icon. If you are new to cosplay, Ron Funches’ has a few do’s and don’t’s of cosplay that you might want to follow this weekend. Oh, NSFW language in this video, do whatever you want with that knowledge.
Distractotron attended the Hoshicon cosplay event in Winston-Salem, NC in June where they shot a bunch of video and were kind enough to share it with us.
Press Release Popular Cosplay personality Tanya Tate (http://www.justalottatanya.com) heads into San Diego Comic Con at full throttle with several scheduled events. Tanya has made her mark in geekdom with her fun and sexy superhero costumes that she has taken to wearing at many pop-culture events. That love of cosplay evolved into the JustaLottaTanya.com blog, which feature Tanya’s video reviews and event coverage. Now the British beauty reveals her plans for San Diego Comic Con 2013 that include the unveiling of her new comic book character, Lady Titan, at the July 18th – 21st event.
Press Release For the eighth consecutive year, the Costume Designers Guild (IATSE Local 892), the labor union representing Costume Designers and other costume professionals in film and television, will be participating in San Diego’s International Comic-Con July 19-20 at the San Diego Convention Center. This year the CDG’s presence will be bigger than ever with a line-up of events and panels featuring top Costume Designers and Costume Illustrators.
It’s the Friday before Comic-Con begins, which means the paraody songs about the big event are starting to hit the Intardwebz. Stage 5 TV took it upon themselves to parody Miley Cyrus’s “We Can’t Stop,” which asks the questions, ” What would happen if Miley Cyrus showed up unannounced to your Comic-Con cosplay party?” Well, if Cyrus’ hit video for “We Can’t Stop” is any indication then things could get a little crazy. It’s a bit NSFW, so prepare yourself if you decide to play it during your morning meetings.
This. This is why I don’t eat at McDonald’s anymore…that’s right, it took a creepy cosplay of the Joker smashed up with Ronald McDonald to turn me off two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun… You may now sleep soundly tonight knowing this clown is roaming the streets looking to avenge the death of the Hamburgler.
Here is the best Cosplay we’ve seen all week! Some will dress up as sexy Deadpool, and others will attempt to pull of a Blue Beetle, but no one, to my knowledge has ever done Toothless, the dragon from How to Train Your Dragon… until now.
Members of the Distractoron Channel were at Heroes Con last weekend, and whipped up a video showing off the work of the cosplayers at the show.
Animazement took place the past weekend in Raleigh, NC, and by all accounts the turnout was great. While there were some photography stipulations at the show, it didn’t stop Micah Moore from shooting this great video outside the convention center of attendees in their full gear.
A new episode of Cosplayer Chronicles has arrived, which turns the lens on Andrew, who does a pretty Dig-Dug costume.
A new installment of Cosplayer Chronicles has arrived, this time focusing on Jess and how she got involved with cosplay.
