Diamond Select Toys has announced the online retailer Big Bad Toy Store will be the exclusive distributor of the Marvel Select Red Hulk. While the sculpt is similar to the green golliath, the head change and paint job set this figure off from the rest. Fresh from his debut in Hulk #1, this mysterious mayhem-making menace has just begun his assault on the Gamma-powered individuals of the Marvel Universe and he’s shown no signs of slowing! As with the upcoming Marvel Select Hulk figure, the Red Hulk stands approximately ten inches tall and features multiple points of articulation as well…

Now here is a San Diego Comic Con figure exclusive I’m actually excited about. With all the hoopla surrounding the return of the Skrulls – or rather the revealing of the Skrulls that have been around for a long time – Diamond Select Toys has unveiled the Elektra Skrull action figure. In addition to getting Matt Murdock’s girlfriend all glammed up in green paint and funky chin (sorry no Jennifer Garner likeness), the seven-inch figure will also include a variety of martial arts weapons, and interchangeable arms and legs. Best of all the figure is packed with her very own…

Okay, so it is more like the Kara clone Galatea from the Justice League Unlimited, but it is probably the closest thing we’re going to get to a JLU figure based on the busty heroine. There are a lot more photos of the new JLU figures (including Captain Atom and a well done Giganta) over at Action Figure Insider. All of the photos were taken by con attendees, which reminds me; Did anyone go to the show and want to share their photos? Contact Stephen Schleicher and we’ll get them up for all to see. via Action Figure Insider

EW.com has the first images of the Watchmen action figures based on the upcoming Zack Snyder movie from Warner Bros. The figures look spectacular, I just hope they are truly action figures instead of nicely molded pieces of plastic that end up as inexpensive maquettes for those who can’t afford the real deal. If you happen to be in New York and are attending the New York Comic Con, DC Direct will unveil the first four prototypes on Friday, April 18. BTW: Both figures will arrive in stores in January 2009 with a price tag of $14.99. via EW.com
