Thor #600 arrives February 11, 2009, and features a cover price of $4.99. This has to be due to the additional pages, right? Or is this a portent of things to come?
You can find out more about the issue, and what role Stan Lee plays, by checking out the interview with Lee over at Marvel’s website.

I’m reading this issue despite the price tag since there are additional pages. However, with 601 and the $3.99 price tag, I’ll be switching to trades only.
Yeah, even I’m going to have to switch to TPBs ONLY.
The funny thing about switching to digital is that the Board Members of the corporation would expect to eventually raise the prices of the digital file to the current paper edition prices. WHICH WOULD BE OUTRAGEOUS.
I’ve found that Business School Graduates are usually the most stupid and most corrupt people in the room (to take a variant of a turn of phrase)
I don’t think the digital comics thing will work out (if they completely abandon the paper editions) because someone will work out how to break the encryption and then there will be a “torrent” of free comics on the InterWebz. Not that any “upstanding” citizen would EVER resort to such behaviour.
Wait, so #601 ALSO has a price increase? If that continues, I’ll be forced to drop the book.
I find myself re-reading Thor in chunks anyway, I’ll probably grab #600 as a single … and then move to TPB thereafter.
Djurdjevic is quickly becoming one of my favorite artists over at the House of Ideas. His covers for Thor & Daredevil over the past year have been phenomenal.
well although i dont read marvel comics i am mostly DC. I have almost moved to TPB’s completely on some series and will continue. Besides I can find them less expensive online and order them and they are still lower in cost with shipping. I cant stand reading my regular books and every other page is an add. Comic book companies I hope you are reading all of our comments.
