If you happen to be at the Baltimore Comic-Con this weekend, Ford will be there giving attendees a chance to drive the Ford Fiesta. What’s this have to do with comic books? The company is raffling off two copies of the final issue of Ex Machina signed by Brian K. Vaughn, and will also take the time on Saturday to present a check for $5,000 to the Hero Initiative.
“This is the second group we’ve worked with since the start of Comic-Con season, so we’re thrilled to again be helping such a worthy organization,” said Patrick Dorrington of Ford. “Obviously we’re excited that people will be seeing the Fiesta, but the Hero Initiative is doing incredible work on behalf of comic book writers, which is what makes this such a great collaboration.”
And since they are doing something nice for the Hero Initiative, here’s the PR plug on the Fiesta:
On sale now, the all-new Ford Fiesta features a vibrant design, sharp reflexes, and a global track record that will redefine U.S. small car customers’ expectations. With 15 class-exclusive technologies and projected best-in-class highway fuel economy of 40 mpg, Fiesta brings efficiency and convenience together in one package.
Fiesta is designed to be versatile, personal, and adaptable. In fact, Fiesta will deliver best-in-class convenience and connectivity with Ford segment-exclusive SYNC (R) voice-actived communications system, as well as an expressive color pallette and available graphics.

Nice little article and everything flows well…until you see the jump link mentions the FORT Motor Company
Do they have rogue color cars at Fort?
On another note … I’ll look into this when I’m there tomorrow…
fixed!
And just how big is this car?
I recall the Ford Fiesta previously being a super-sub-compact frammistat, not entirely fan-man friendly. We are, generally, a substantial lot… And by “we,” I mean “me.”
I don’t believe the car is Matthew-friendly. In fact, I think the small print in the advertising specifically says “No Matthews Allowed”. Or maybe it said “No Matthews A Loud,” which would be nice, but kinda defeats the purpose of having a Matthew on the team. So, bottom line, stick with the Frasam-mobile for now.
Ken Block is driving a heavliy-modified Ford Fiesta after his longtime sponsor Subaru dropped WRC for 2010. WRC is Block’s ultimate goal. Missing the AWD Subie WRX STi. Looks better than the Fiesta. But I’m a fan of Block so gotta support his new ride. Monster Energy Drink is having a Ride-Along contest…
