This is really interesting. And really, really cool introduction.
One thing I’m not sure I understand is the whole throwing the party under the bus for their war crimes thing. First of all, I never really got that part. Did the god expect the guys to complete their part of the celestial crusade without any sacrifices? Anything going wrong? It seems like for what they achieved, to call them war criminals is a bit harsh, especially if it means turning them over to the god of tyranny.
And also… the plan was working? Like, wouldn’t it make more sense to actually help the party get the last signatures? The whole reason Asmodeus split the party was to stop them from stopping him.
Of course Asmodeus was getting so powerful that getting Erathis’ deal through might not have been enough to stop him.
Questions questions. Lot’s of pondering. I can’t wait to see where this go.
I like the holy rollers, and what’s going on. I’m looking forward to the next bunch of episodes with these guys.
Can’t stop thinking about Sekhar, Randus and Orem.
And Torq, obviously…
I’m still hoping that one of Randus, Ket or Orems epic destinies is to go find him.
