Diamond Comic Distributors has sent Major Spoilers the breakdown of comic book sales for June 2008. Leading the month once again is Marvel with a 48.39% Unit Share, with DC coming in second place with a mere 29.56%. From there the numbers drop to the “smaller” publishers with Dark Horse coming in again in the third slot.
Title wise, Marvel snagged the top two spots with Secret Invasion #3 and Ultimate Origins #1. Final Crisis #2 slipped a spot to the third best selling title, and with the exception of Justice League of America #22 taking the nine spot, Marvel dominated the top 10.
As reported by ICv2, overall sales for June grew 2% from the month before. However, periodical sales are down 5% for the first half of 2008.
Take the jump for the complete rundown of the Top 300 Comics, and see where your favorite title ranked.
Once again, the table plug-in is working, which means if you click on a column name (description for example), you can sort the table alphabetically. This is great way to sort the list alphabetically, or by company.

I suspect the Weiringo trib might’ve done slightly better had it been solicited in the, you know, MARVEL Previews rather than hidden away with the et-cetera pub houses. First I knew it had been even definitively scheduled for release was the week it actually got released; as a mail-order guy, though, that left me months out of luck — as were, presumably, a sizable chunk of the other tens of thousands of mail-order-only folks.
Ah, well, at least GREEN LANTERN is still DC’s number-one solo title. Never woulda happened when ol’ crabface was around. :)
