    [SDCC’15] Building a Star Wars Shadowtrooper Armor Kit

    Norm, from Tested is at Comic-Con this week, and gave everyone a rundown of the Star Wars Shadowtrooper Armor Kit.

    At Comic-Con 2015, we met up with Anovos, the makers of officially licensed Star Wars costumes and helmets. Among completed costumes, they’re releasing a D-I-Y kit for Stormtrooper armor (which includes a finished helmet). We get our hands on an early test Shadowtrooper kit from Anovos, and walk through the process of cleaning up the vacu-formed pieces with effects artist Frank Ippolito!

      “I WANT A BOBA FETT HELMET! My birthday is coming up, by the way Dear Spoilerites. ”

      Wish I could help, but I only have one of those semi-cheap helmets (the ones that still cover the full head and have a visor rather than slitted plastic, but isn’t 100% screen accurate). Not to mention it is custom painted to match the bulk of my custom Mando armor costume I’ve been working on (some parts don’t match, but that is to symbolize wearing a piece of armor of people I’ve lost, with those pieces each symbolizing someone I actually have lost, such as my late partner and my grandfather).

      I wish I could afford getting one of these kits. It is definitely going to the top of my “If I ever win the lottery” list.
