Here’s a major drop of new for Daredevil fans – Frank Castle is scheduled to appear in the next season.
Marvel has announced that Jon Bernthal has been cast as Frank Castle/The Punisher, a vigilante who wants to clean up Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary.
“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”
Marvel’s Daredevil is scheduled to be released in 2016.

I think the Punisher is a perfect fit for what Marvel is doing on Netflix. I’m excited to see where they go with this one, and what other shows they end up doing. I’ve heard rumors of them bringing Blade and Ghost Rider to Netflix & negotiating with Cumberbach to bring Doctor Strange onto the Netflix shows to cameo. I’m crossing my fingers that after the Defenders the Netflix “phase two” will be some version of the Midnight Sons.

Yes, Daredevil and Punisher have great dynamic. Almost every comic issue they are in together is interesting.
