Need any more proof that toy sales drive kids television? We have only seen one image of the main villain from Star Wars Rebels but it is already confirmed the Inquisitor will be an action figure in 2014. Take the jump for the images.
The Inquisitor figure will stand at 3.75 inches and will be released in the fall of 2014 as apart of a larger Star Wars Rebels toy line.
The character design for Inquisitor certainly looks like he would have fit in perfectly in The Clone Wars, the only problem I have with him is that weird circle encasing around the lightsaber hilt which would cut down on the range of motion possible with the weapon. I’m hoping that the double-sided blade can be separated into two separate weapons.
What are your thoughts about the company already announcing figures before fans even know who characters are, or have even seen an episode? Sound off in the comments below!

It isn’t much different than from they release figures not really based on a specific character (not even EU characters, such as some of the generic alien or faction-based figures) or when they have released other lines based on an upcoming project long before the project is released.
Not sure if I’ll like the series or the character, but I wouldn’t mind having the figure simply to have another character that isn’t a variant of an existing character I already have a few of. I’ve got several of my figures displayed up on a shelf with the old Cantina playset as a backdrop, and aside from Stormtroopers, Clone Troopers and a few aliens and droids, I like to keep the “population” diverse without using variants/duplicates.
I wish they would make toys from the STar Wars Knights of the Old Republic games, like Darth Malak!!!!!
They have already had a few releases of KOTOR figures, including Malak.

Nice. I didn’t realize that. Thanks!
Apparently if you are a Dark Jedi you have to be bald and know dual wielding.
The rise of Dark Peppermint.
Perhaps it is a safety? He may not be adept enough in the force not to cut his leg off without that.
