Ghost House & Mandate Pictures and Sony & Film District have set an official release date for the Evil Dead remake, putting the movie just ahead of the summer release season.
According to Bloody Disgusting, the studios have set a date of April 12, 2013 for the release of the Evil Dead remake. The film, being directed by Fede Alvarez, takes a different approach to the source material – instead of a campy horror film, the Evil Dead will be more of a straight up horror flick written by Rodo Sayagues and Diablo Cody.
