Image Comics let us know that next month, W0rldtr33 #17 by James Tynion IV and Fernando Bianco will kick off a new story arc as the apocalypse quickly approaches.
Back in the now, Ellison and the last standing members of the W0RLDTR33 crew scramble to hack the clock and stop Angel from rebooting the internet—and unleashing the end of the world. The endgame? San Francisco. Every path pings back to the source. Every path leads to the Undernet.
“Longtime readers of W0RLDTR33 have been following the story as it branches out through the past, present day, and Fernando and Jordie’s singularly chilling vision of the future,” said Tynion IV in a press release from Image Comics. “With this new arc, which is going to build toward a major milestone for the series, those threads are going to begin to intertwine with potentially world-ending consequences. After all, even Gabriel Winter can’t plan for everything.”
