Image Comics announced it is bringing Scary Godmother back to print with all new stories in the Scary Godmother Compendium.

This fan-favorite series first launched in 1997 to critical acclaim, won Eisner Awards in “Best Title for a Younger Audience” and “Best Painter/Multimedia Artist (Interior)” categories, and was adapted into two hit children’s films titled, Scary Godmother: Halloween Spooktakular and Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy. The series was also featured in The Spectacular Sisterhood of Superwomen: Awesome Female Characters from Comic Book History by Hope Nicholson. The Scary Godmother series has seen a resurgence in popularity with the TikTok community in particular, driving rediscovery of the title.
Now longtime fans will finally have an opportunity to revisit the iconic, eccentric fairy-witch from start-to-finish when they board the nostalgia bus and journey back to the Frightside to revisit Scary Godmother and her friends Mr. Pettibone, Bug-A-Boo, Hannah, Orson, Max and Ruby the Vampires, Harry the Werewolf, and more.
