We’ve seen the Void Rivals, Duke, Destro, Cobra Commander, Scarlett, and the Transformers, and now Skybound Entertainment is expanding the Energon Universe with the upcoming launch of G.I. JOE from Joshua Williamson and Tom Reilly.
At the SDCC panel, Williamson and Reilly also revealed a lineup of characters from the series including Baroness, Cobra Commander, Cover Girl, Destro, Duke, Tomax, and Xamot, and showcased all-new images of both fan-favorite and new characters. New covers to G.I. JOE #1 were also revealed for the first time, from superstar artists including David Finch, Brett Booth, Jerome Opeña, Sozomaika, David Nakayama, and more!
To be clear, the Energon G.I. JOE is separate and distinct from Larry Hama’s G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero, released by Image Comics (Skybound is an imprint of Image Comics). Think of it as an Ultimate version of G.I. JOE.
G.I. JOE #1 arrives on November 13, 2024.
