I’m pretty sure we’ve run out of all the keys to be found/made from the Locke and Key series, and I’m pretty sure I own all of the replicas from Skelton Crew Studios. The studio is chugging along with two new keys, including the key to Toad Hall.
The first key was announced a week ago – the Key to R’Lyeh Chrome Green Edition.
From Skelton’s Keys to the Classics, it’s the Key to R’Lyeh Green Chrome Edition, the key to H.P. Lovecraft’s famous sunken city. Designed by the talented Gabriel Rodriguez, this intricate, many-tentacled key measures approx. 4.25-inches tall.
The Key to R’Lyeh Green Chrome Edition is cast in bright green chrome-plated solid metal and packed in a custom book-look box featuring the opening lines to Lovecraft’s classic, “The Call of Cthulhu.”
Note: This is the same key that originally appeared in Skelton’s Cabinet of Curiosities line, now featured in a new box and in a new finish.
The second key, is definitely something Disney/Wind in the Willows fans will want to check out – the Key to Toad Hall.
From Skelton’s Keys to the Classics, it’s the Key to Toad Hall. Designed by the amazing C.P. Wilson III, this diminutive key is highly detailed from its sweet, toad eyes to the bottom of its foot and measures approx. 3-inches tall.
The Key to Toad Hall is cast in antique brass-plated solid metal and packed in a custom book-look box featuring the opening lines to Kenneth Grahame’s classic, “The Wind in the Willows.”
There’s a secret library inside the old Skelton farm.
Hidden with the collection of classics are keys to fantastic places, enchanted kingdoms and lost worlds.
Find the library, and unlock adventure . . . if you dare.
I like the direction the company is taking with the keys. I would very much like to get my hands on the key to R’Lyeh, if only to satisfy that Elder Things itch. Neither key is too expensive – each coming in at $35.00.
