Vault Comics released an early look at Beyond Real #1 by Zack Kaplan with art by Fabiana Mascolo, Toni Fejzula, Vincenzo Riccardi, Dennis Menheere, Jorge Corona, Luana Vecchio, and Liana Kangas, who will rotate art duties through each of the five issues in the mini-series.

Beyond Real asks the question what if we are living in a simulation, but instead of a Matrix-style computer/digital simulation, it’s a beautiful and artistic creation, one far beyond our imagination and comprehension? The story follows the struggling artist June following a severe accident that leaves her boyfriend in a coma and causes her to experience bizarre visual phenomena. When she discovers that the world she considers “reality” may in fact be a computer simulation, she must set out on a perilous journey through metaphysical layers of the simulation to reach the true creator and save her love from death.
Beyond Real #1 arrives on December 13, 2023.
