EVIL DEAD RISE DROPS ITS FIRST TRAILER
Horror has come early this year with Wednesday of this week seeing the release of Sony’s first offering of the year – Evil Dead Rise.
Evil Dead Rise – Official Trailer (Red Band)
No Description
Evil Dead Rise is a soft sequel to the 2013 soft reboot of The Evil Dead – a movie noted for breaking all records on the amount of fake blood used on screen. Evil Dead Rise definitely feels like a movie in succession to the Monkey Paw and A24 brand of contemporary horror with a mother (Alyssa Sutherland), being the key deadite and scariest evil coming for her family inside the house.
Original Evil Dead talent Sam Rami and Bruce Campbell serve as Executive Producers on Evil Dead Rise. The movie hits cinemas on April 21, 2023.
RENFIELD DROPS ITS FIRST TRAILER AND POSTER
We’ve all seen the leaked photo of Nic Cage as Dracula from the set of Renfield last year and on Thursday of this week we got the first official look at the character when the first trailer dropped:

THE FLASH FINAL SEASON DETAILS EMERGE
Over the course of this week, The CW’s The Flash has had more news breakout than we’ve seen in the past couple of seasons. Beginning with the image below heralding the debut of the ninth, and final, season:
Followed by the news that three Arrowverse alum could be reprising their roles in the final season. Variety announce Stephen Amell would be reprising his role as “Oliver Queen.” Not specifying whether or not that includes Green Arrow and clarifying nothing about his status as The Spectre in the Arrowverse as viewers saw in the final season of Arrow.
Arrow star David Ramsey, who in recent years has taken up the role of director across the Arrowverse, confirmed on his Official Instagram account that he would be returning as John Diggle:

Showrunner Eric Wallace had this to say about Ramsey’s return in Deadline:
“As one of the legacy Arrowverse characters who helped start it all, John Diggle holds a special place in our hearts, as well as the fans. Plus, the commanding presence and commitment to excellence actor/director David Ramsey brings to the screen each-and every time is truly inspiring. So, of course, it was a no-brainer to have Diggle join Team Flash in our final season! So, get ready for a very emotional reunion as John Diggle aka Spartan helps protect Central City alongside Team Flash one, last time.
Rounding out the returning cast is actor Keiynan Lonsdale in his role as Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash.
Added Wallace:
We’re so happy to reunite with the incredibly talented Keiynan Lonsdale as a part of The Flash’s final season. Because Kid Flash isn’t just another speedster—he’s a beloved part of our Team Flash family. So as soon as we knew he was coming back, we set out to create a special and heartfelt story for his return. The result is a brilliant performance from Keiynan that showcases a side of Wally West you’ve never seen before.
Between now and the end of The Flash there are certain to be several more announcements and surprises. Ahead of the series’ February 8th, 2023 premiere episode.
