Happy February, Spoilerites! Many collaborators here at Major Spoilers have done time in the trenches of comic book retail. February is very famously the home of Valentine’s Day – a mere two weeks away if you are reading this the day it’s posted! In celebration of Valentine’s Day – and to save you the grief of browsing for gifts! – we have assembled a Gift Guide for Her.

Full of suggestions for the comic book-loving person in your life. Gender is a construct and Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about romantic love, so whoever you are buying for, we want to help you find gifts.

5. Scott Pilgrim volume 1

Since Scott Pilgrim first made its debut the entire series has gotten the hardback and colourized treatment taking the story of two slackers from two different countries falling in love and learning how to be adults together to a whole new level. Fans of the 2010 movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World will love the first installment in this graphic novel series. For those who didn’t enjoy the movie? I promise you they will still enjoy this comic book. Scott and Ramona struggle with Valentine’s Day, as many young adults do, in the same way, their narratives entwine and unravel against the backdrop of beautiful Canadian landscapes.

4. The Prince and the Dressmaker

Who doesn’t love a prince-and-the-pauper story? The Prince and the Dressmaker takes the bones of the story Disney movies taught us to love to a whole new level. A Prince falls in love with a Dressmaker because the Prince loves wearing the dresses she makes.
