“My objective was to tell a kick ass story of Kung Fu, magic and animals in human form,” says Ramirez in a press release. “Even though it is a story of myth and fantasy it is very much a reflection of being an expat in China, of the loneliness and ennui of being a stranger in a strange land but also the beauty and even the sort of enlightenment that you can find as a wanderer on the road.”
