PRESS RELEASE
Devil’s Due Comics and Trailer Park Boys Incorporated have inked a new licensing partnership that will debut the Canadian comedy icons in a variety of comic book specials and series. The fun begins with a limited Preview Book (coming spring 2021), followed by a combination of Special Edition anthology one-shot & miniseries comics (debuting in the fall of 2021). The debut issue is now available for preorder at www.TrailerParkComics.com.
Curating the projects is Devil’s Due Comics’ founder and publisher Josh Blaylock, who will tap a number of the industry’s top writers and artists to contribute all-new original content. “This is the perfect fit for us,” says Blaylock, whose irreverent comic book content has included Family Guy, Troma, and the f-bomb dropping Mercy Sparx series. “I have the ultimate respect for what the Boys have built from the grass roots into a true phenomenon. We’re going to have a lot of fun with the kind of stories we can tell, marketing stunts we can pull, and talented comic pro fans of the show we’ll be working with.”
Devil’s Due Comics and Trailer Park Boys have no plans to hold back on including as much debauchery and drunken antics that you’ll find in any episode, and plan to build some exciting live events around the launch of the comics, providing social distancing protocols have lightened by the fall. Devil’s Due will also be producing posters/prints, enamel pins, and limited merchandise using art from the comics.
Swearnet, the Trailer Park Boys’ online comedy network, recently launched the 13th season of the live action series, entitled Trailer Park Boys: Jail. The first 12 seasons, as well as the animated series, continue to air on Netflix. A podcast, Park After Dark, airs weekly and has garnered over 16 million downloads in its first year. The Boys’ social media network of several million followers, will be engaging with the fanbase to increase awareness of the comic books.
