It is going to be a while before things return to normal, and if reports on the news are accurate, it will be mid-to-late summer 2021 before everyone receives a vaccine. The start of summer for most of us has been Free Comic Book Day from Diamond Comic Distributors, but in 2021, FCBD moves to August.
2021’s Free Comic Book Day will mark the 20th Anniversary of the comic book event that draws hundreds of thousands of comic book fans to comic stores around the country.
“I am so happy to be making this announcement today and so proud of our work with retailers and vendors these last 20 years to bring more awareness to the comic books we all love,” said Steve Geppi, President, Chairman & CEO of Geppi Family Enterprises. “In the past two decades, fans have experienced some truly remarkable Free Comic Book Day events because of the commitment of our partners to create an incredible celebration of comics. It’s such an energizing day and we look forward to making our 20th anniversary celebration the best one yet!”
According to Diamond Comic Distributors, Free Comic Book Day 2021 will feature fifty free titles – 12 gold and 35 silver sponsor titles. The comic book distributor will announce the complete lineup of titles in March 2021.
