Some of your favorite side-scrollers/fighting games of the 80s and 90s often had a girl being kidnapped and two friends teaming up to rescue her. But what if that idea was flipped around? We’re about to find out in June when Devil’s Due Comics releases Final Street #1 by Scott Schmidt and Brian Atkins.
In Final Street #1, Sullie’s boyfriend Franklin is kidnapped by the vicious Bare Knucklers gang, she and her best friend Kumi hit the deadly streets of Transit City to rescue him. Little do they know they’re about to stumble into a much bigger fight.
It should be interesting to check this series out, and see who comes out of the woodwork to complain about the book. I say give it a chance… it may be awesome.
Final Street #1 arrives on June 13, 2018.
