If you love Munchkin mashups, you’ll be thrilled to learn USAopoly is heading to Hogwarts with Harry Potter Munchkin Deluxe.
The game, which features a map of Hogwarts to track your level, as well as non-sculpted character tokens is expected to arrive this fall with a retail price of $34.95. What is most interesting about this release is, according to a report at ICv2, this will be the first Munchkin game that uses photos instead of illustrations to be more in line with the movie franchise.
I’m sure there will be a number of Munchkin fans who will be disappointed not to see caricatures of the Harry Potter characters on their cards, but I think a much larger fan base will flock to see their favorite characters once again.
USAopoly has announced a number of new Harry Potter games, to add to the company’s growing collection. USAopoly licenses Munchkin from Steve Jackson Games.
