Megalomaniacal plotting aside, is anyone else with me in having sympathy for the Professor, who made all that effort to get into the Goblin Market, only to have it close early? I’m definitely rooting for him now.
I had a lot of sympathy for Stephen, who’s been getting left out of some of the major action.
JPH3, on the other hand, is a big ol’ sleazeball who gets no sympathy from me. But I love the perfect ballsiness of him telling Klaus, “Nah, this book you brought me has nothing of value in it, and certainly does not tell me how to murder you for power, with tools I currently have around the house.” The story feels like everyone’s on a major collision course, and it’s really exciting.
