SOLICITATION: The bank!
WAYNE: Mr. Rosenberg is one of the best in the business when it comes to drama and characterization. Where this will end up, I have no idea! But that’s what makes this book so much fun!
ASTRO CITY #47

Do you see that handsome face?
MATTHEW: You had me at “half-man/half-dog.” This series has been on a roll of excellent issues of late, and I’m hoping this one is no exception…
BATMAN #30
Writer: Tom King
Artist: Clay Mann
Publisher: DC Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: “THE BALLAD OF KITE MAN” part two! In our second “War of Jokes and Riddles” interlude, it’s the making of a super-villain! He’s been pushed by Batman to snitch on The Joker, and cajoled by The Joker to betray Batman-now, the flunky who would be Kite Man finally snaps. He’s lost everything, and a life of crime is the only way to go.
WAYNE: It’s always great when a “minor” character gets the limelight, so I’m anxious to see what Mr. King has in mind for Kite Man!
ELSEWHERE #2

Artist: Sumeyye Kesgin, Ron Riley
Publisher: Image Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Amelia Earhart’s adventures in a strange realm continue! All she wants to do is return home – but first she must escape from a warlord’s impenetrable fortress and find her missing navigator.
MATTHEW: The first issue was a bit peculiar, but definitely hooked me for wanting more, especially given that shocking last page moment… What’s going on here?
GREEN ARROW #30
Writer: Ben Percy
Artist: Otto Schmidt
Publisher: DC Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: “HARD TRAVELING HERO” part five! The day Oliver Queen has dreaded for years has finally arrived: Green Arrow, DC’s most stubborn, most hotheaded hero, needs help from the last person he ever wanted to ask: Hal Jordan, who’ll give the Emerald Archer a lift to the stars in this stunning reunion that readers have demanded since REBIRTH began!
WAYNE: As much as I love the Arrow TV series, I haven’t been nearly as enamored with the comic. Well, now that GA is interacting with other DCU heroes, it’s really been quite the compelling read, so I’m always on the edge of my seat for this book!
MOTOR CRUSH #6

SOLICITATION: The critically acclaimed series returns with a new 6-issue arc, kicking off with a special story guest-illustrated by co-creator CAMERON STEWART, and featuring four breathtaking covers by fan-favorites BABS TARR, KRIS ANKA, JAKE WYATT, and KEVIN WADA! While Domino Swift struggles to comprehend her jump forward in time, we cycle backwards to learn more about her father’s former racing career, the story of his missing leg, and his secret connection to the machine narcotic Crush.
MATTHEW: Here’s a book that really stuns, thanks to a brilliant creative team and a unique hook. Check it out, already!
NANCY DREW AND THE HARDY BOYS: THE BIG LIE #6
Writer: Anthony Del Col
Artist: Werther Dell’Edera
Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Does blood run thicker than water? In this thrilling climax of the hugely acclaimed first arc, the murderer of Fenton Hardy is revealed… but do Nancy Drew and the Hardy brothers believe it? In order to find out where the truth actually may lie they must return to a place from their pasts and risk their lives.
STEPHEN: A satisfying conclusion to the six issue noir-mystery featuring our favorite teenage detectives. While it may require going back to reread the entire series again to get all the clues, I thought the end was spot on. Plus, if Dynamite decides to do so, the final page gives us an opening for a sequel.
