But when events transpire which turn the Crusaders’ aim toward Grayson’s own family, the former Boy Wonder must turn against the very system he helped create, with help from the very people he’s been hunting for years—the last metahumans of the DC Universe. Don’t miss this bold new vision from the team behind the New York Times bestseller BATMAN: GATES OF GOTHAM!
STEPHEN: A great set up, and a lot of social commentary on what to do with people who are different than the rest. I can’t wait to see how many people make THAT connection, and see how the Internet reacts. While the dystopian future may be played out, this was a really interesting book to read.
PLASTIC #5 (OF 5)
Writer: Doug Wagner
Artist: Daniel Hillyard
Publisher: Image Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: The most twisted love story ever told comes to a close. Can Edwyn and Virginia possibly live happily ever after, or does that only happen in fairytales?
CHRIS: The last issue of this demented and twisted mini-series is here. I’m full of mixed emotions: sadness for its ending, excitement for its ending, and some relief for its ending. I mean, this is a seriously f*(ked up book.
SECRET EMPIRE #9
Writer: Nick Spencer
Artist: Leinil Francis Yu
Publisher: Marvel
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: UNITED WE STAND – against the SECRET EMPIRE!
Rated T+
CHRIS: This book is driving to its conclusion and this issue is an exciting one. Spencer still has a fair amount of loose threads to tie up in one issue, which is concerning. Regardless, this event has been pretty fun. Secret: Thor fans will want to pick this one up.
SHIRTLESS BEAR-FIGHTER #3 (OF 5)
Writer: Jody LeHeup, Sebastian Girner
Artist: Nil Vendrell
Publisher: Image Comics

CHRIS: The title says it all. You must read this. Please, for the love of everything holy. And if you think it’s just the fuzzy bears he fights, you’re wrong. He fought the Chicago Bears last issue. So there.
