Description: Many readers are used to American comics being formatted a certain way. But all over the world the comic making standards differs from country to country. We’ll talk about the BD (Bandes Dessinees) format with a panel of publishers and creators as well as discuss the exciting wave of European comics being brought over to America.

Description: A discussion about the benefits of using comics in the classroom to address the educational needs of differentiated learners. As school’s struggle to ensure that students are not left behind in the learning process and to extend curriculum to challenge more advanced students, educators must adapt their classroom to the developing needs of their students. Join us as we talk about visual literacy and the advantages of using sequential art to help connect with students and convey difficult concepts with ease.
