Spider-man is only a few years older than I am. but I feel like i grew up with Peter Parker, in a way, so I think, now that I am an Adult, I prefer the older grown up Peter.
Been a while since I read spidey regular like, but I liked his college years better, out of the cheesy teen garbage but not stuck in the adult garbage yet.
I like Peter in nearly every age group (even the older adult of MC2 and other older/elderly versions from various alternate realities and “What If?” stories), but I’m most partial to the High School age Peter. Stories of that setting have some unique characteristics that you don’t often see in stories of the older and more experienced Peter, and revisiting Peter’s adventures at that age helps me appreciate just how far he has come over the years.
High school Peter Parker is the my favorite. The Juxtaposition of high school nerd and super hero defines the character for me. He beats the green goblin, but gets in trouble for being late to school. Classic.
