During last night’s sports broadcast, Coca-Cola spent a ton of money to promote their smaller cans of Coke. The company did it the only way they could, by bringing in the biggest and smallest Marvel heroes to promote the carbonated beverage.

Bruce does know that he can get a much bigger can of soda from the building’s vending machine, right?
But maybe that is the case. In this day and age, when so many people are poo-pooing on how fat we have become, pushing smaller portions seems to be the play of the day. And with the Avengers a pretty big deal right now, using them to hawk their wares seems like a pretty smart move, even though the smaller cans have been on the shelf for a couple of years now.
Did the spot convince you to buy smaller portions, or did you get lost in the hijinks of our two heroes destroying portions of the city for a can of sugar water?

I really enjoyed this spot. I worked in advertising long enough that the Super Bowl ads rarely show me something I was not 100% expecting, but this one came out of left field for me, and I appreciated that.

This was a pretty fun ad. I think the ads from the first half were actually really well done this year. Mad props to the Prius commercial too – that was funny as heck.
