It means something “interesting” is being teased, and will quickly then be completely undone because this is comics and status quo is god and heaven forbid you actually change and evolve a character or story.
What? Don’t look at me like that. That’s the whole reason I don’t read superhero comics anymore – I’ll watch the shows, but… *sighs* I’ve been invested into something that got the axe one too many times to really care for events anymore.
