Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) today announced that it will press START on its Wizard World Gaming series (www.wizardworldgaming.com) in conjunction with Wizard World Comic Con Portland, February 19-21 at the Oregon Convention Center. The Gaming area in Portland will maintain many of the planned events and guests originally scheduled for the standalone Gaming convention in Atlanta (January 22-24), which will not be held.
Wizard World Gaming Portland attendees will participate in video game tournaments and eSports competitions for prize pools, meet top gaming influencers and pros, attend game developer panels, sample free-play demos from top publishers and interact with like minded fans in the Pacific Northwest.
Dedicated Wizard World Gaming only admissions will be available; all Wizard World Comic Con Portland attendees will also have full access to the Gaming area.
“Wizard World is committed to producing the best possible shows for the gaming community, and ensuring that we achieve our goal of providing a true gaming experience for our fans,” said John Macaluso, Wizard World CEO. “In planning the debut of Wizard World Gaming, it became evident that we would not have enough time to put on a high-quality show in Atlanta. We are confident and excited in making Portland the launch of our gaming series.”
As previously announced, ORIGIN PC will power the PC Zone at Wizard World Gaming Portland. Additional partners, events and special guests will be announced as they are confirmed in the coming weeks.
