One of the more interesting elements of the teaser trailer for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow was the lack of villain Vandal Savage. Lucky for us, Greg Berlanti has cast the lead villain ahead of the start of the seaon.
Casper Crump has been cast as Vandal Savage and will appear in an upcoming The Flash/Arrow crossover before moving on to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in January.
He joins newly announced cast member Falk Hentschel, who will play Carter Hall/Hawkman in the spinoff series, along with previously confirmed stars Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave), Ciara Renée (Hawkgirl/Kendra Saunders), Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson) and Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter).
Vandal Savage is a fictional character, a supervillain published by DC Comics. He first appeared in Green Lantern vol. 1 #10 (December 1944), and was created by Alfred Bester and Martin Nodell.
Savage is immortal, and has plagued the earth with crime and violence since before the beginning of recorded human history. He is a brilliant tactician with immense technological prowess. He is one of DC’s most persistent villains and has fought hundreds of heroes throughout history. In 2009, Vandal Savage was ranked as IGN’s 36th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time.
Crump will play Captain Kerchover in the upcoming Tarzan movie, and has had a number of parts in various television series going back to 2009. He has a pretty ominous look, and I can’t wait to see what he brings to the DC Universe in 2016.

Seems to be good pick, at least appearance is pretty much spot on.
If nothing else that is a dead-on look. Casting Phil Morris would have also been awesome.
I’m not familiar with the actor (that I know of), but he certainly looks the part.
