When I was ten, this show was the greatest thing on TV – for a ten year old. I am afraid if I go back and watch it again I might find out how dreadful it really was…
As soon as I heard this was coming (via Major Spoiler…of course), I place my order (via the Amazon link on…Major Spoilers).
It was corny in 1966. It was corny during the 1970 reruns (when I watched) and it is even CORNIER AND FUNNIER now.
There are things from out younger days, which do not stand the test of time (and most things don’t as time marches on). However, we exist in an era which we can capture, be it visual or sound…moments from times past which we find entertaining.
Universal Studio Monsters
Alfred Hitchcock Movies
Saturday Morning Cartoons
Abbott and Costello
Westerns
Radio Serials
Star Trek
Twilight Zone
Outer Limits
X-Files
Get Smart
This is just a few (feel free to add), for those of us which it has entertained…we can go back again, again and again. For some of us, these are moments best remembered.
At the time of this posting, I am on Season One Disk 2 “and loving it!”
