While Warner Bros. was making big DC announcements, Marvel was having their own Animated Universe panel where they showed clips for upcoming shows, including a newly revealed Guardians of the Galaxy animated show!
Unfortuantely the teaser Marvel played for the Guardians of the Galaxy animated show is not online at this time, but if it does make its way to the Internet you can be sure we will update you. Dominic Patten of Deadline was in the room when it was shown though and described it as an “explosive 1-minute preview of the series” with Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord.
Not much else was discussed about the show except that it will be on Disney XD, whenever it premieres. If I had to guess, Marvel will try and capitalize off the popularity Guardians is sure to attain after the film releases and the show will premiere close to when we see the film arrive on Blu-Ray.
The new Guardians show wasn’t the only property to get love during the panel as the upcoming show Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors had a full showing. Web Warriors premieres in September on Disney XD. Clips from the upcoming seasons of Avengers Assemble and Hulk and The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Avengers Assemble premieres on September 28 and Agents of S.M.A.S.H. almost a month later on October 26.
