Nintendo made the announcement a few days ago that Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire would be getting remade and named Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and, now, we can see the first, brief, footage from the games.

Pokémon Sapphire was the third and last Pokémon game that I have ever owned, so obviously this announcement has me, once again, deciding if I should forget paying bills for a month and purchase a new Nintendo device.
Both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be available in November of this year.

Heh, I still play my old Ruby and Sapphire GBA games on my DS. I wonder what they’ll add to these like they have done with previous remakes. Adding newer Pokemon is obvious, but most remakes have had some interesting features (such as the lead Pokemon of your party following you in HeartGold/SoulSilver similar to how Pikachu followed you in Pokemon Yellow) or alternate methods of obtaining some of the previously version exclusive legendaries (including getting level 1 Palkia/Dialga/Giratina in HeartGold/SoulSilver if you had an Arceus to trigger the event).
