Today is the day you will want to get to your nearest Disney Store and get in line before it opens. The retailer has a number of events and FREE items to help celebrate Star Wars Day!
The first 100 Guests who visit Disney Store on Star Wars Day will receive a limited edition Star Wars pin, and children ages three and up are invited to learn the “Ways of the Force” — featuring activities that recreate some of A New Hope‘s most memorable scenes, where they can:
- Discover the Jedi Mind Trick and learn how Obi-Wan Kenobi uses it to serve the greater good
- Master a lightsaber through hands-on training
- Help Luke Skywalker destroy the Death Star through an interactive experience on the Media Wall
- Participate in a Medal of Bravery Ceremony
May the 4th will also see the release of Disney Store-exclusive Star Wars merchandise, including action figures, lightsabers, and lots more. Check out a special preview in the accompanying slideshow.
Dangit if that Jawa isn’t the cutest thing I’ve seen all day!
The closest Disney Store is about four hours away from me, and it’s been so long since I’ve been there, I’m not even sure it is there. If you get one of the free Star Wars pins, and don’t have a blue jean jacket to pin it on, I’ve still got mine from the ’80s that has an open spot.
