We know all four Marvel original Netflix series will be filmed in New York, but now we know the first, Daredevil, will begin shooting in July.
Marvel Studios TV head Jeff Loeb talked with Gregory Ellwood from HitFix last night for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and let it be known that filming with begin in New York City in July for the upcoming Daredevil series.
But what about the three other series that have been announced? Loeb let us all in on those as well saying,
“‘Jessica Jones’ comes after that. And then after that, ‘Iron Fist’ and then after that ‘Luke Cage,’ and then that’ll culminate in ‘The Defenders.'”
The manner in which other Netflix original series have been released is in the “season binge” method by simply dumping all the episodes for a season at once onto the streaming service. When these series were first announced there was discussion amongst many about whether Marvel would stick to this method or the traditional television weekly format. Sadly, Loeb doesn’t give us much information there by telling Ellwood that Netflix will be “delighted” for what they have in store.
Now that a filming date has been established by Marvel we should begin seeing casting information, which is always interesting when dealing with the loved properties that Marvel has.
Is there anyone that you would like to see portray Matt Murdock for the coming show? Let me know in the comments below!

Ha!
I am hoping for the Hand or the chaste to appear. I think Arnold Schwarzenegger should guest star as Stick on episodes of the television series and play him in Daredevil films. He’s a favorite actor of mine. I put in ideas for the television series on the Internet Movie Database on the boards. I hope they show the origin and Daredevil when he starts out chases after the Fixer in the subway as he’s the one behind the murder of Jack Murdock. Arnold should have a part in the MCU.
