It’s been an interesting year to say the least here at Major Spoilers, from launching our VIP site (members.majorspoilers.com), welcoming new shows to the Major Spoilers Podcast Network, and even becoming Major Spoilers Entertainment, LLC. It’s also been a stressful year with a lot tough choices that hopefully lead to positive outcomes for all involved. With all the ups and downs, and knowing what we have planned for 2014, I’m kind of glad the year is over.

Definitely one of the best for me so far, this year I:
1. Went to my first comic convention, (thanks for the advice btw).
2. Met Stan Lee and got my picture with him and got him to autograph a reprint of Amazing Fantasy #15.
3. Proposed to my girlfriend while at the convention, (she said yes).
I’m also very happy to see how much the Major Spoilers Network has grown in just the few years since I started listening to Critical Hit. Hope that all of you have a great New Year and I’m looking forward to more awesomeness in 2014.
While plenty of good happened, I’d be lying if I said it was even close to a good year for me.
The end of my long-term relationship (technically ended very nearly end of 2012, but I was still dealing with it into the first months of 2013, both emotionally and financially), multiple health issues popping up or getting worse, financial issues (mostly due to the health issues and the changes to insurance), several deaths of people I was close to (including my uncle that was like a father to me) and so on.
Wasn’t the worst year I’ve ever had, but wasn’t a good year either.
This has been the best year for me in my life so far (but I still have many more wonderful years in front of me).
I have been an awkward loner at my school for a long time, and I finally decided to join theatre to hang out with the other “weird” people. I was immediately accepted there, and I finally felt at home with them. They unknowingly helped me mostly overcome my depression that has been going on for years now.
Of course, finding this website has been an incredible experience for me. Many good laughs have been made as I browsed the website, and I thank all of you for making this a thing.
Naturally, there are many other smaller events that made this year a fantastic year, but those two are the main and most important ones. So I will end this by saying thank you all, you look lovely today, and have a wonderful year.
2013 was the best year for me since 2005. Continued growth and prosperity in my personal life is all I can hope for going forward.
Comics-wise, The Private Eye by Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin was my comic of the year. This story of a future where privacy is sacred stands in stark contrast to the reality we live in today. This comic feels years ahead of its time, and is made even more interesting post-Snowden. It absolutely blew me away with its quality, and the pay what you want business model is something I hope more people experiment with moving forward.
Congratulations on another awesome year, Major Spoilers. Looking forward to more 2014. Your faithful spoilerite!
My youngest daughter was born in 2013. It doesn’t get much better than that.
I would say yes – increased responsibilities and opportunity at RWJ, home life remains challenging but I am ever hopeful that it will continue to be good or better in 2014.
I really started slacking in comics reading this year, but I remained entertained by MajorSpoilers and Frogpants podcasts. Here’s to what we all hope will be a fun and fruitful 2014.
While I did graduate from grad school this year, I’ve also spent most of this year underemployed, getting constant rejections for employment opportunities, and am back living with my parents.
Bought a house with my girlfriend, had my first child, then proposed on Christmas. Pretty great year for me!
2013 was pretty good for me. I moved back home to California (from Indiana.)
