I told you already, I’m voting for the Daleks every dang time :P
And so it has come to this…. Well I would say this goes to the Daleks as they have fought the whole race of the time-lords and almost won.
On the other hand the Doctor as only one time-lord has foiled their plans several times, so really its likely to be a pretty close contest however it shakes out.
If it is one on one I would say Master but with the Daleks as a group vs the master I will go with Daleks.
The Master ran away from the Dalek / Time Lords Time War all the way to the end of time.
Daleks are like cockroaches. You can stomp them, poison them, or ‘exterminate’ them but, but one always scurries away to repopulate. When you least expect it, one crawls out of the woodwork.
You can say that about the Master as well.
Truly a battle for the ages set to shake the very foundations of the universe. It’s tough to call but I’m going to go with the Master on this one he is the Doctor’s ultimate nemesis and the only member of his rogues gallery that is his equal.
They will join up and the Master will have amazing Dalek bumps!
I vote for the Master. There is no greater evil than Eric Roberts!
Coming in on this later, but my thought was going to be the same as Frank’s. In the little Doctor Who that I have seen – it seems like you can’t stop them you can only hope to contain them.
Ooh, this is a toughie! Relentless extermination power versus a deviously clever mind and a TARDIS. I think I have to go with the Master here. He’s as clever as the Doctor and the Doctor can outwit the Daleks. If nothing else the Master can annoy them to death, or maneuver them into killing each other. Yep. Gotta go with the Master.
While I do believe The Master could defeat the Daleks in the short term, in the long run I believe the Daleks would prevail
As of 6:05 PM, the 54% who voted for The Master are ignorant and wrong.
The Daleks will win. The Time Lords with the Master and the Doctor were on the verge of EXTERMINATION at the Fall of Arcadia. The Master, despite his deadly genius has never shown himself capable of defeating the Axons, let alone the Daleks.
The Master has the potential, but he Daleks have the raw power and numbers. I went with the Daleks.
I’m going with the Master because if he wanted to, he could destroy the Daleks because when the Doctor does it is a merciful death; while the Master’s victory would be a cruel in his victory.
I vote for the Master.
Now, of course, in a western style showdown at high noon, the hateful little alien brain inside of the miniature battle tank would clearly be able to draw down on the Master.
The overwhelming firepower of the Dalek’s Whisk-Laser and Plunger Appendage is well known and suitable armor against such is evidently impractical to manufacture as even other Daleks are blown up these pinnacles of weapon engineering.
But the Master don’t play that game! His answer to a Dalek inconvenience would no doubt involve Time Travel in some capacity and Time Traveller is a difficult enemy to defeat.
Unlike the (4th) Doctor, the Master would have no compunctions about blowing up the entire race of Daleks, and Davros, in their infancy. The Doctor had that opportunity, was just about to blow them all up, but backed down due to the moral evil he felt he would be committing. (Story arc referenced: Genesis of the Daleks, 1975.)
The Master is a different story. He’d just go right back to that point and finish the job if he wanted. You know, build a Paradox Machine to do so if necessary.
The Master, absolutely. The Daleks are, in the end, just drones with little imagination. The Master is the Doctor with no conscience…if the Doctor always beats the Daleks, then why wouldn’t the Master?
in my opinion this isn’t even close, the salt shakers make quick work of the doddering old man. the Daleks are thngand unstoppable. The Master is a lackwit with a longer losing streak than the Jamaican ice hockey team. some people mistakenly called the master the doctors equal, but he went through all his regeneration in half the time of the doctor. The Daleks wouldn’t let him get back up. additionally I think you have to consider how these characters have aged. The Daleks have only gotten scarier and more deadly over time. Compare Asylum of the Daleks vs rheir appearance back with the First Dr.by contrast the master is only become more ridiculous and sillier. Compare the glorious incarnations in the 70’s with Eric Roberts bizarre twist and the utterly horrific relaunch Simms version with his song and dance routines and Looney Toon antics.
I foresee the fight going something like this: the master gives a long rambling speech probably set to music and the Daleks reduce him ro ash.
