Cobie Smulders will be reprising her role of Maria Hill for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series coming to ABC this fall. Take the jump for a better pic and find out why Joss wanted her back.
“I wanted very much to have Cobie in the pilot because as much as anyone else, she IS SHIELD,” said writer-director Joss Whedon during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “She’s cool and commanding, and has the dry humor that plays so well with Clark’s. Also, if she’s in it I get to hang out with Cobie.”
Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents including: Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May and Chloe Bennet as the mysterious computer hacker Skye.
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will premiere on ABC on Tuesday, September 24 at 8 p.m.

I didn’t like Maria Hill in the comics, but I did like her in the movie.
the reason he probably wants her in this show is because if anyone has seen The Avengers extras, she is probably going to be running S.H.E.I.L.D in Avengers 2.
