True MEGA excitement would be if they announced they were selling the property back to Disney. Say what you will about their iterations, but they were works of art compared to MegaForce.
Original Sentai 4 Lyfe!
If they sold it back to Disney, it would all be over since Disney only sold it back because they were stopping production entirely.
But I’d love a return to the Disney era writing. Even though the series was still pretty well aimed at the younger crowd, the storytelling during the Disney years wasn’t anywhere near as one dimensional as the writing of both early and recent Saban series. SPD and RPM were practically as good as their original Sentai counterparts (and since Dekaranger is my favorite Sentai series, that is saying something), and even Dino Thunder, Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive had some surprisingly engaging storylines.
Back on topic, I really wish I knew someone going so I could ask them to snag me the Legacy Morpher (which has Tommy’s gold MMPR morpher with both show accurate Green and White Ranger power coins). It is already being sold/pre-sold for over $200 and I’ll never be able to justify that.
I know what you mean. I’ve had my eye on a Gaburivolver, some beast batteries and Pteraiden-Oh for a while, but my wife would throw me out if I spent that kind of money on “stupid Power Ranger toys.”
I’m hoping I can sway her between now and whenever the Kyoryuger Figarts come out.
Best of luck on that! And hopefully you’ll be able to find a decent price on them. I’m surprised how high the markup on some of the Sentai items are in some places.
The only reason I have my Ranger Key collection is from friends who live in Japan getting them and sending me an occasional package with several keys. Otherwise I probably would have only splurged on getting a few select keys.
You do know they will relase a Green/White Ranger morpher sometime later this year or next year. The can’t be that stupid to leave money just laying on the table.
