Way back in 1978, Proto Fett was shown off to George Lucas and company as the studio prepared for Empire Strikes Back. While the prototype suit is all white in this clip, sound designer Ben Burtt does talk about the various colors that would be seen in the final film.

I have a vinatge (1978 I think) Boba Fett halloween mask that is silver and orange. The shape is right, but the colors are so strange that people don’t usually recognize it as Boba.
Would have been cool to see him use the full complement if weapons at some point. Maybe in the next trilogy.
