Press Release
Gen Con LLC, producers of the hit consumer game convention Gen Con Indy, have partnered with Peter Adkison’s new film production company, Hostile Work Environment (HWE), to create an all-new web project, entitled Gen Con: Behind the Screen.
Now available on YouTube, the comedy web series provides a satirical look at the wacky office environment that produces “The Best Four Days in Gaming™”. Starring actress Jen Page (Journey Quest, Chop Socky Boom, Gamers: Dorkness Rising) and a blended team of HWE and Gen Con employees, the teaser (introductory) video for Gen Con: Behind the Screen is available now on YouTube.
“My goal for Hostile Work Environment is to produce short films, web series, and, eventually, feature films specifically for gamers,” said Peter Adkison, Executive Producer. “With that goal in mind, Gen Con Indy attendees seemed like a natural audience for a web series project, and I sincerely hope that they enjoy this one, as they are my favorite people in the world!”
The series also will feature cameos from notable members of the game industry and featured guests, including Larry Roznai, President of Mayfair Games, and Mike Selinker, President of Lone Shark Games.
In addition to the first video, the HWE team will release another Gen Con: Behind the Screen episode prior to the August convention, and will debut the final episode during Gen Con Indy 2013, running August 15-18 at the Indiana Convention Center.
