When Monsters University arrives in June, audiences will be treated to a new Pixar short film. The Blue Umbrella will be Pixar’s first attempt to make a photo-realistic film, something that is incredibly hard to do without running into the uncanny valley. That being said, the first sneak peek that appeared at the Wall Street Journal, gives me hope that new director Saschka Unseld knows what is going on.
