As the rainy weather starts and the temperature drops, it’s easy to feel a bit nostalgic for the long sunny days of summer past. In ERNEST & REBECCA #3: Grandpa Bug, Rebecca is feeling that way even though she’s still on summer vacation!
See, Rebecca’s mom has sent her to stay with Grandma Doodle and Grandpa Bug in the country for a few weeks, and to her, this is no picnic; the bed squeaks, the blankets are scratchy, and big sister Coralie is lost in her cell phone. Perhaps worst of all, Ernest, Rebecca’s germ of a best friend and partner in shenanigans, is nowhere to be found! It may be time to start appreciating the world around her on its own terms, but that’s a lot to ask of an imaginative six-year-old; good thing Grandpa’s here to help, and a couple brand new friends, as well.
