(TYO: 7832), announced today the appearance of its marquee ShiftyLook Freeplay Arcade at New York Comic Con 2012, with an extensive lineup of internet & geek culture icons, live events, music, video games and exclusive merchandise in hand. Making appearances on the ShiftyLook Live Stage will be the talent from ShiftyLook’s hit webcomic and cartoon titles: Rob Paulsen (Bravoman, Animaniacs), Christopher Hastings (The Adventures of Dr. McNinja), Anthony Clark (Nedroid), Alex Culang (Katamari, Buttersafe), Raynato Castro (Katamari, Buttersafe), Jim Zub (Wonder Momo, Klonoa), Erik Ko (Wonder Momo), Omar Dogan (Wonder Momo), Matt Moylan (Bravoman) and Dax Gordine (Bravoman). In addition to ShiftyLook’s guests appearing at events throughout the weekend, Hideo Baba (Tales series), Zach Weinersmith (Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal), Dave Shabet (Deadwinter) and Dale North (Destructoid) will appear on the ShiftyCast video podcast. ShiftyCast, along with all events on the ShiftyLook Live Stage, will be live streamed via Twitch TV at http://www.twitch.tv/shiftylook.
For fans of chip music, some of the hottest members of the New York chip music scene will perform live sets on the ShiftyLook Live stage: Chillbrave (Kedromelon + popSTAR), Decktonic, HeavyW8bit Championchip, Ricky Burgal and Rockman. With multiple sets for each artist, fans will want to keep coming back for more all weekend long.
The arcade games of the ShiftyLook Freeplay Arcade have been arranged by Chicago-based NAMCO ENTERTAINMENT, and include original retro cabinets, new games, and event the U.S. debut of three titles: Bravoman, Wonder Momo, and Legend of the Valkyrie. Whether it’s Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man or even the extremely rare Super Pac-Man, there is something for everybody at the ShiftyLook Freeplay Arcade.
The ShiftyLook Show Store will feature exclusive, never before seen merchandise, including brand-new shirts from Katamari, Wonder Momo, Bravoman, Legend of the Valkyrie and more. In addition to the ShiftyLook original designer T-shirts, the store will also feature special Pac-Man merchandise imported from the United Kingdom as well as the popular video game unit Pac-Man Connect & Play from Bandai America.
On display as part of a showcase of the products of the NAMCO BANDAI Group will be Adventure TimeTM: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?!!
