“America is my White House.”
Ridiculously corny, but I couldn’t help but smile.
Ummm, Cap ran for president in 1976. He didn’t win, but there was a nice What If? issue about it. I liked the interaction with the secret service where Cap takes out a would-be assassin himself. The agents were both happy that he can take of himself, but frustrated that he threw himself into danger.
I may be mis-remembering. The run for president may have only been in the what if?
Wasn’t he the President of the US in the Mangaverse?
The regular universe Captain America had a similar storyline (he was a write-in, but decided not to stand even if he won) back in 1979 or so…
Lol, I appreciate the spoiler protection! That’s a good speech by the way from Cap. If he was real, I’d vote for him in a heartbeat.
If only… I guess it would be too much to ask for a real candidate for President that is a moderate on social and national issues and an ass-kicking conservative warrior in international relations.
Oh…and Ultimate Nick Fury for VP!
We can only hope that this one day occurs.
This is hardly a surprise, given the general state of the Ultimates universe and the fore-knowledge that someone was going to make a big decision.
